About Us

The Practice was formed by PHILIP COOKE FRICS in 1992 with the main office based in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

For ten years prior to this the Principal was Chief Building Surveyor in a major international multi-disciplined firm of Surveyors based in Mayfair, with over 38 years experience as a Building Surveyor.

Previous experience includes development work for five years in Brussels, Belgium for both English and International clients.

Activities for which Philip was involved included organisation of inspections and surveys of major property portfolios both for acquisition and management purposes.

Co-ordination of major Survey inspections and Reports including:

• Broad Street Mall, Shopping Centre, Reading.

• The Kingfisher Shopping Centre, Redditch.

• The Merryhill Shopping Centre, W. Midlands.

Gary Stanbridge BSc(Hons)MRICS – joined the Practice in 2003 as Senior Building Surveyor, providing a valuable enhancement to the service provided to clients both in the area of general Building Surveying but more particularly from the design and drafting aspect administering our CAD drawing systems.

Gary is also experienced as an Employer’s Agent and has extensive experience in contract administration and running building contracts of all sizes, as well as general Building Surveying work.
